Give your young creator the summer experience they’ll be talking about all year! Our Junior Video Game Design and Coding Camp is built especially for kids entering grades 2 and 3—curious minds who love to imagine, make, and explore.
At this one-of-a-kind camp, your child won’t just play games—they’ll learn how games are made. Through kid-friendly platforms and hands-on coding projects, campers will design characters, build simple animations, and bring their own imaginative stories to life. They’ll explore the foundational logic of coding while creating real, playable mini-games they can proudly share with family and friends.
Led by a husband-and-wife team with a combined 40+ years of teaching experience, specializing in working with young learners, the camp will balance engaging tech activities with high-energy, off-screen fun. Kids will brainstorm ideas, solve creative challenges, and move their bodies through games that mirror the concepts they’re learning on the computer. It’s a perfect blend of digital creativity and real-world play.
By the end of camp, your child will walk away with new skills, new confidence, and a spark of inspiration that makes them see technology not as something they consume, but something they can create.
If your child loves games, computers, building, imagining, storytelling—or all of the above—this is the camp that will unlock their creativity and empower their future.

By the end of the week, he made his own video game and learned to edit videos. He sometimes struggles to make friends in new environments, but by the end of the week, he was happily chatting away with other campers. Highly recommend!Posted on Nicole WalkerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have 3 kiddos ages 7-13 and Lancaster Tech Camps have camps that match interests and age levels for all 3 of them. The prices are reasonable and the camps are run by awesome Hempfield teachers with high school students as helpers.
