Covid Camp Update

This summer we were looking forward to celebrating our tenth anniversary of running technology camps for students!  The instructors have spent hundreds of hours planning and preparing for camps over the school year and look forward to them all year long.   When schools closed for the year, we had optimistically hoped that we could run summer camps as normal.  All in person summer camps are cancelled due to Covid-19. All the instructors are very disappointed, but the safety of our campers is our number one priority!

Many parents have reached out to us asking if we will be moving camps to an online setting as they are looking for high quality programming (and something to keep their kids busy!).  After much discussion and consideration, we feel that two of our camps would meet our high levels of standards and quality moving to an online setting.

There will be the following changes to camps:

Intro to Movie Making:  Cancelled (Refunds have been Issued)

Advanced Movie Making:  Cancelled (Refunds have been Issued)

Robotics:  Cancelled (Refunds have been Issued)

Digital Photography: (Refunds have been Issued)

Computer Programming:  Offered Virtually

Video Game Design:  Offered Virtually

The online camps will look a little different than the in-person camps.  You can learn more about what Virtual Video Game Design camp will look like here.  Computer Coding will focus on utilizing MIT’s scratch program and understanding HTML and have a similar setup.  If you are interested in an online camp, please make sure you have reviewed what the camp will look like and the minimum requirements.

It our hope that we might be able to offer after school or weekend opportunities once this clears up, but we will have to see how the situation unfolds over the next couple months.  In the meantime, please feel free to follow us on Facebook at http://facebook.com/lancastertechcamps for future updates, information, and future discounts.

We hope that you and your family are safe and healthy during these challenging times.

Thanks
